Welcome to the Creative Foundation

How do you regenerate a once-fashionable but now faded seaside town?

The regeneration question matters across Britain, and for the Folkestone-based Creative Foundation it demands an innovative answer: we want to revitalise the town by attracting and harnessing the energies of creative people and businesses.

Much activity is focused on the Creative Quarter, the old part of town around the harbour. If you’re interested in taking retail, office, studio or live/work space, you’ll find full details of what’s available and how to apply.

If you’d just like to know more about the Creative Foundation, its plans and its partners in regeneration, you’ll also find plenty of information. Creative Folkestone will lead you to some of the same information, but offers some historical background on the way.

Take a browse through the site, and if you want to comment or know more,
please contact us.

FIND YOUR TALENT

The Creative Foundation has been selected to run one of 10 national Find Your Talent pathfinder projects. Shepway Find Your Talent will be jointly organised by The Creative Foundation and Kent County Council working in partnership with cultural agencies, schools and youth organisations to engage all young people in the Shepway district in an extensive three year programme of cultural activity. Whether it is through music, art, film, theatre, dance, digital media, exploring libraries, museums or heritage; the project will offer every child and young person in Shepway regular involvement with, and access to, high quality arts and culture, both in and out of school.
