Townscape Heritage Initiative Project Manager

Fixed Term Contract (3 year period) 

Salary: £31,138 – £36,783 (Grade G)  

Hours: 37 per week

Folkestone is a coastal town in South East Kent. Over the past 10 years, the town has benefited from a concerted regeneration effort – such as the arrival of High Speed One, the creation of an award-winning Coastal Park, and the development of a new Creative Quarter. Work is also on-going on other exciting initiatives such as Folkestone Seafront

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Project Manager to deliver, promote and co-ordinate a Townscape Heritage Initiative Scheme in the Old Town of Folkestone. The Project Manager should have good project management skills, be able to work effectively with property owners, have a sound understanding of historic building conservation and experience in delivering community and training initiatives. Knowledge of partnership working would also be advantageous.

The post calls for someone with considerable communication skills who is used to dealing with built environment professionals and the public, both at meetings and on a one-to-one basis. They must also be IT literate, highly organised and an effective team worker.
